Are You Changing The Wines?

This is hands down, the number one question we have heard since taking the reins as the new owners of Wolf Gap Vineyard.  No, there will be no intentional changes to the wines.  As you know, there are differences that impact that final product, like rainfall, extreme temperatures both high and low, and of course to the winemaking process itself.  And not every wine is produced every year.

Currently, we grow Traminette, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Chambourcin.  Viognier and Blueberries are purchased from outside sources.  We are incredibly excited to share that the 2021 harvest was quite fruitful…pun intended!  So much so, that we may even introduce an additional blend in the coming year.

While the wines are all still available, not every wine is bottled every year.  For instance, the Cabernet Sauvignon hasn’t been produced in several years!  Sometimes Mother Nature decides, and sometimes existing inventory levels decide what does and does not get bottled.

Don’t worry, your favorites aren’t going anywhere!
