Wolf Gap Vineyard Celebrates Shenandoah Cup Success: Gold & Silver Medals for 5 Wines

Wolf Gap Vineyard and Winery is overjoyed to share some exciting news—our wines have earned top honors at the prestigious Shenandoah Cup, hosted by the Shenandoah Valley Wine Trail  hosted at the beautiful Yellow Barn Event Center.

Of the five wines we entered, our Clare received a Gold Medal, while our 2024 Chateau Chardonnay, 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2024 Riesling, and 2021 Chambourcin each earned Silver Medals. This recognition is a testament to the passion and dedication of our winemaking team.

How the Shenandoah Cup Works

Members of the Shenandoah Valley Wine Trail may enter up to five wines in the competition. Each wine is evaluated by a panel of experts using the 100-point Wine Enthusiast scale, with scores translated into medals: Gold (90–100 points), Silver, and Bronze. Gold medal winners are celebrated at the Shenandoah Cup Celebration, where attendees can taste the award-winning wines, meet the owners and winemakers, enjoy hors d’oeuvres by Caverns chef Bekki Rogers, and bid on items in the Silent Auction.
