Join us in welcoming Joe Martin who will be performing live on Saturday, May 4th from 2-5pm.
Joe Martin’s musical journey began at age 11 when he started playing guitar, inspired by Def Leppard’s “Photograph.” He quickly became immersed in classic rock and early 80s metal, joining his first band at just 12. Throughout high school, he expanded his musical horizons with the help of dedicated teachers, exploring classical and jazz music and mastering several instruments including piano, saxophone, and drums. Influenced by skilled musicians like Yngwie Malmsteen and Chick Corea, Joe continually pushed himself to excel technically and expressively. He pursued classical piano at Ithaca College while still deeply involved in the music scene, though he ultimately chose a career in software development. Nonetheless, he continued to create music, releasing his instrumental album “Algorythm” in 1999, showcasing his proficiency across various instruments and musical styles. Despite his successful software career, Joe maintains a passion for music, performing his own arrangements of rock, jazz, and classical pieces in the northern Shenandoah Valley area.
